About Us
The COAD is a network of local organizations, public and private agencies, and nonprofits that partner to plan for, respond to, and help communities recover from disasters. Effective coordination and collaboration across these different sectors facilitates a more rapid response thereby reducing human suffering. To maximize our impact, the Kansas City Regional COAD is also, a 501c3 nonprofit. We look forward to sharing our mission with you!

Committees play a vital role in emergency response and recovery by facilitating coordinated efforts, ensuring comprehensive planning, and enabling effective communication and resource allocation among various stakeholders. The COAD stands firm that committees are the heart of our organization. Community Involvement

Helen Keller said it best when she said, "alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." The Kansas City Regional COAD is a firm believer in you cannot have community without unity.
